Each butterfly was CNC machined and individually heat formed into a flowing shape. The assembled display used lighting to bring out the layers and movement of the finished composition.
This project is an exhibition installation rather than a visitor-operated mechanism. Included alongside our interactive work, it demonstrates the scenic manufacture and display-making skills that can help shape a complete visitor or brand experience.
The visual effect depends on the relationship between the individual formed components, their arrangement and the exhibition lighting. CNC machining provided the butterfly shapes, while heat forming gave each piece its three-dimensional character. As part of a branded exhibition environment, the installation demonstrates the detailed fabrication work that can sit alongside interactive technology and help establish the overall visitor experience.
